Kit History & Context

Founded on October 25, 1922, UD Oliveirense celebrated its centenary during the 2022/23 campaign. This season also marked a major turning point off the pitch, as Japanese entertainment company Onishi Group (and subsequently Japanese investor group members associated with Yokohama FC and f4samurai) acquired a controlling stake in the club's SAD, giving rise to unique Japanese chest sponsors on their kit while competing in Portugal's second tier.
